It's a horrible disease....

Finished CdC..... started 2 new projects to replace it.... bought at least 3 more to fill the void..... Have not touched the things that were in my non existent rotation with CdC. They Came from Afar (I'm not in the mood to stitch on black right now). Pretty Pumpkins (I think I want to do these on a different fabric now). Thanks Eleanor, for asking me how many projects I actually have started.... you REALLY don't want to know that answer...

Thanks for all you wonderful & kind comments on CdC. I love looking at if. Sadly, it's going to be a while before it's framed. Eleanor and I took a road trip last Saturday. Stopped at Golden Needle for some stashing.... A few things followed me home.... On to the frame shop with CdC in hand. Nothing there really grabbed me and nothing made me say "Oh my gosh, I love it".... the closest thing was a "that's pretty good"... and when she told me it was going to be $365 for "pretty good", I told her I'd have to think about it... No mats. Nice frame. Glass. $365???? I'll keep my eyes open as well as trying a couple other shops. Eleanor and I also stopped at Needlepoint Ivy, a cross stitch shop in Venice FL. A few things found their way home with us as well.

New stash...

From Simple Stitches "Unto Us"
From JBW Designs "Memories of Home". Reminds me of my little brother and the house we grew up in in Wichita Kansas. The sampler reads... I remember The House where I was born, The little window where the sun comes peeping in at morn..
And... my first Little House Needleworks chart. Reading Writing Stitching. I think this will make a wonderful piece to stitch Sept. 3, National Stitch in Public Day. I'm taking the day off and doing a local road trip to the mall, the libraries, the book stores and sitting and stitching. Want to join me???

What have I been stitching on?
Gone.... by Michelle Ink Needlework Designs

Seems fitting for my life at work right now... The fibers in this piece are amazing! The Gloriana silk is so soft and silky! This is my first stitch on Lakeside Linen. I'm a 28 count girl, but loving this 32 count Bittersweet. The glow in the dark pink from Keinik and the flamingo floss from Weeks are on order at the LNS.
Here is my progress this weekend...

Also started....
How do I Love Thee by Designs By Lisa

Stitched on 28 count natural linen with 2 strands of Needle Necessities 1531
See my toes???? Sorry about that!

Another finish
My First Sewing Box and Scissor Fob ty The Stitching Parlor

Sorry it's not pressed. I need to mount this in the Whitman Sampler Box.
But.... Golden Needle had our monthly stitch night on Wednesday and she had pink Whitman Sampler Boxes and yummy pink linen to match..... soooooooo......

That's about the extent of my excitement. I'm teaching a tassel class at Golden Needle in July. Contact Cathy at to sign up. It will be tons of fun I promise!!! I've been playing with pearl cotton this weekend putting together different combinations for demo tassels and future tassels and practice/step models. I put together 3 while hubby and I watched "The Bucket List" yesterday. Great movie!!

My thoughts and prayers are with all the folks dealing the the various weather disasters in the world today. It's so sad to see all the damage and sorrow on the news.
Stay safe.
Happy stitching!

Martha, I absolutely love the design Gone. I've had it in my stash for a couple of years now and can't wait to stitch it. It looks like you've made a good start on it.

Doesn't it feel good to finsh such a big thing as CdC. Congratulations!!!

$365 sounds a little excessive to frame that piece. I don't think my local frame shop would charge that much. We will see when I finish QC and take it for framing.

Looks like you have been getting a lot of stitching done as well as adding to your stash.

Bucket List is a great movie. Hope you enjoyed it.
